💼 About the Role
As a Founding GTM, you’ll build and execute Murphy’s go-to-market strategy from the ground up. Working directly with the CEO, you’ll define how Murphy reaches, wins, and scales with enterprise customers.
This role combines strategy and execution from designing pricing models, identifying verticals, and driving international expansion to closing flagship enterprise deals and building the first revenue processes. You’ll act as a mini-CEO of GTM, owning everything from the playbook to the first hires.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Technology, and Operations to deliver on promises to large organizations and ensure that Murphy’s growth is built on trust, efficiency, and repeatability.
This is a high-ownership, high-impact position for someone who thrives in zero-to-one environments and wants to build a generational company from the early days.
📝 Responsibilities
GTM Strategy & Execution
Define, test, and scale Murphy’s GTM motion from scratch, including pricing, ICP strategy, and geo expansion.
Build a repeatable sales playbook to turn early wins into scalable growth.
Identify the most valuable customer segments and tailor value propositions to them.
Enterprise Sales Leadership
Own full-cycle sales with large organizations (banks, fintechs, insurers, and other regulated enterprises).
Manage C-level relationships, RFPs, negotiations, and complex multi-stakeholder deals.
Serve as a trusted partner to clients, ensuring smooth onboarding and long-term success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product, Tech, and Ops to align on delivery, project timelines, and product expectations.
Bring structured market feedback to guide product roadmap and prioritization.
Revenue Operations & Foundation Building
Build the first version of RevOps: CRM structure, forecasting, reporting, and deal hygiene.
Define early compensation models, metrics, and hiring plans for future GTM roles.
Establish scalable processes for pipeline management and revenue predictability.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth
Track industry trends and competitor movements to inform Murphy’s GTM strategy.
Develop and iterate on Murphy’s pricing and packaging based on data and feedback.
Identify opportunities for regional or vertical expansion.
CEO Partnership
Work directly with the CEO to prioritize key accounts, refine GTM strategy, and shape Murphy’s growth trajectory.
Act as a strategic thought partner on major commercial and product decisions.
📚 Requirements
- +5 years of experience in B2B enterprise sales, GTM strategy, or business development within SaaS, fintech, or AI startups.

Proven track record closing complex enterprise deals (preferably with banks, fintechs, or insurers).

Experience building and scaling GTM motions from scratch, from pricing and playbooks to CRM and RevOps foundations.

Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging with C-level executives.

Hands-on operator able to balance strategy and execution in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Highly collaborative, able to work cross-functionally with Product, Tech, and Ops teams.

- SQL / Data skills: Ability to understand and query data, analyze metrics, and use insights to support sales strategy and customer discussions.
- AI / Fintech familiarity: Experience with AI, machine learning, or fintech platforms.
- CRM & RevOps experience: Hands-on experience implementing or working closely with CRM and RevOps tools.

3️⃣ Tech Assessment or Business Case
A practical exercise to see how you approach challenges similar to those you’d tackle at Murphy. You’ll have time to reflect and showcase your thinking—no rush, no surprises.
4️⃣ Coffee at the Office with the Founders
