💼 About the Role

As a Senior AI Engineer, your mission is to leverage AI to make the debt collection process more effective and fully autonomous. You’ll work on a complex system with many practical uses of AI, including voice interactions, communication analysis, tactical prioritization and planning.

You'll design and build AI systems, optimize them, build quality controls to keep them under control, and explore new innovative approaches.

In our high performant team, you’ll have the opportunity to own solutions from idea to production and be on the cutting edge of applied AI.

📝 Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test AI-driven solutions to improve our debt collection platform, from conversational agents to automation workflows.
  
• Customize and adapt AI agents for clients, tailoring behavior, tone, and workflows to fit different business needs and regulatory environments.
  
• Contribute to production readiness: testing, monitoring, and iterating on deployed AI systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and measurable impact.
  
• Research, evaluate, and experiment with new AI technologies (LLMs, vector databases, retrieval pipelines, fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, prompt engineering, etc.) to keep Murphy ahead of the curve.
  
• Build internal tools and automations to optimize processes, reduce manual work, and accelerate how we deliver and scale AI capabilities.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations, compliance) to align AI solutions with business goals, customer needs, and security standards.
  
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.

📚 Requirements

• Proven experience in developing AI-based solutions, with several years (4+) of hands-on work in applied AI/ML (e.g., LLMs, vector databases, RAG pipelines). In particular, experience with TTS and STT models would be very relevant.
  
• Solid background working in Fullstack applications (frontend + backend integration).
  
• Experience mentoring or collaborating with junior teammates, contributing to team growth and knowledge-sharing.
  
• Genuine passion for AI, continuous learning, and experimenting with new technologies.
  
• Proactive and self-motivated work style, with strong problem-solving skills.
  
• Curiosity and drive to explore innovative approaches.
